Our craft
Sewing that respects the garment
Atelier Synål grew from a simple idea: clothes last longer and feel better when they are adjusted by someone who understands fabric, grain and construction. We are a neighbourhood skrædderi for bridal fittings, eveningwear, everyday alterations and quiet repairs.
On Klostergade in Latinerkvarteret we keep a calm bench, a reliable machine, and space enough for serious fittings. Clients come for a hem that disappears into the cloth, a bridal bodice that finally sits, or a pair of trousers cut to their stride.
How we work
Listen first, then sew
We start with what you need the garment to do — walk down an aisle, sit through a dinner, or simply fit better at work. Then we mark, cut and stitch with thread matched to the cloth.
